While everyone is preparing for Beach 2013 and my Facebook wall is swamped with fitness and diet food pictures, I feel that in 2013 one should try something different. Usually laying on a beach, caipirinha in one hand and a good read in the other is as close as I get to heaven during vacation season. However this year I am considering something more adventurous: Sailing 2013.
Sailing holidays have always been on my mind for the last couple of years, and it seems that (maybe) the time has finally come for it to happen. Although I have to admit it does require a lot of planning to get everything in place. There are a number of questions one has to answer, such as: How long time can I devote for sailing? Two to three weeks is probably a good period of time, but I would like to divide this time between actual sailing and visiting different island along the way. This is why I think the best place to go sailing is in the Greek archipelago.
Actually, the best thing would be to rent a boat in Santorini and start my trip from there. However as I know myself I may just fall in love with the island and not want to leave it at all. Just look at this beauty, who would ever want to sail away from it, really?
