Once I heard the motto, Cocktails and dreams, I knew Supper was my kind of place. At the end of a long entrance hall decorated in a Mexican street style, a smiling maître welcomed us with a melodious ‘hola’ and escorted us to the bar while our table was getting ready. Waiting is always more pleasant with a drink in hand, so I jumped on the opportunity to treat myself to a Mexjito. No, not a typo here; just a Mojito with a Mexican twist.

Now that the first part of the motto was already accomplished, the smiling maître appeared again to lead us through a labyrinth of rooms, all designed in a special and unique way, to a secluded corner table waiting to accommodate us. Two menus were instantaneously handed to us but I have to admit, I couldn’t pass by the first page. The platos pequeños (which were not pequeños at all, if you ask me) seemed so delicious, I couldn’t resist trying them (all).

So, a ceviche de pescado appeared, followed tightly by a slow cooked biff flavored with chocolate and chili. A bit later some red shrimps with aioli and some Argentinian choripán with chimichurri also made an appearance. (And some of them may have disappeared faster than I could point my camera. Or was I just getting slower in my moves after so much food?) I honestly wished I had at least one more stomach to continue this feast (I guess here comes the second part of the motto), but after all these treats I had to call it a night. As an extremely happy, well fed girl, that is.

One thing is for sure though.

I am planning to see a lot more of Supper.

And Supper should be prepared to see a lot more of me.
